Experience: Ms. Witts has spent more than 30 years working in various environmental fields, including experience in the regulatory, business, and consulting sectors. Ms. Witts focuses on the investigation, remediation, and risk-based closure of environmentally impaired sites including Superfund, former Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP), Brownfields, RCRA, and UST sites, primarily through the Illinois EPA voluntary Site Remediation Program (SRP), Missouri DNR Brownfields/Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP), and USEPA Brownfield, Superfund and RCRA programs.
Specific areas of expertise include working with municipalities to investigate and remediate Brownfields sites, vapor intrusion investigations and mitigation, and risk-based site closures. Ms. Witts has worked on various projects in Illinois and Missouri, including the Owens/Brockway Glass Plant site in Alton, Illinois; the International Harvester site in Canton, Illinois; numerous former MGP sites in Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, and on the East Coast; and Brownfields projects in Alton, Cairo, Canton, Granite City, Herrin, and Madison County, Illinois.
